Forté started in 2022 taking over an existing business when the founders wanted to step away. Siân Davis had been a key teacher at the previous school for 4 years and was invited by the founders to take over as Principal. The school has flourished since then as evidenced by our great testimonials and exceptional LAMDA exam results.
We run junior classes (ages 7-10) from 9:00 to 10:30 and senior classes (age 11+) from 10:30 to 12:00. We usually devote September to December to developing theatre skills and confidence and showcase these in a short pre-Christmas show. From January to June, we work towards our main summer show which parents, relatives and friends are invited to which gives each child the chance to perform onstage in front of an audience with lines learned, in costume and with music & lights.
From January, both classes join together for the whole session from 9:00 to 12:00.
In addition, LAMDA classes are held during the Saturday morning session one-to-one or in small groups for those who want to work towards formal drama qualifications.
